I am Scott Snyder, a dedicated fine art landscape photographer specializing in Atlantic seascapes, the New England landscape, and Essential Abstracts. I have been a photographer for over 30 years, beginning with a stint in the Art Institute of Atlanta’s Photography program in the early 80s. I have worked as professional photographer for years and am transitioning from a wedding- and portrait-based work back to my original passion – fine art landscapes that showcase the incredibly beauty and diversity of our natural world.
I am deeply involved in environmental issues and support 1% for the Planet, a global network of businesses, nonprofits and individuals working together to create and preserve a healthy planet by donating 1% of our profits to conservation issues.
Over the years my avocations have included being a painter, poet, papermaker, and letterpress printer. Vocations have included proofreader, book designer, financial publications designer, and picture framer. I have a degree in religious studies and am deeply involved with interreligious dialog, Sufism and the path of Rumi, and the yoga of devotion.
I am the father of three beautiful children and three incredible grandkids. I am a hiker, skier, surfer and wanderer. Life is good, often full to overflowing, and a blessing.
